DESCRIPTION
Brownish-colored, slightly translucent, fine-grained, elongated flint shard, with silky to glassy luster on conchoidal fracture surfaces along the edges, that are slightly worn off. The surfaces at three long, slightly curved, sides show typical elongated imprints that cross each other. The imprints are of variable size, several centimeters long and few millimeters wide. Imprints are a millimeter or less deep. The boundaries of the imprints are very sharp. Some imprints have distinctly triangular terminations. The surface of the imprint is very smooth and locally even shiny like glass. The surface between the imprints is rather rough, like sandpaper. Some of the rough patches between the imprints have a distinct diffuse coloration by iron oxide at the center and in thin zones along the outer edges within the area of the imprint. The flint contains a few light-colored spots like burrow cross sections and thin elongated light-colored inclusions with regular small holes, like bryozoan remains. Besides, numerous small, curved and larger irregular black specks are seen, possibly occurring only at the surface of the flint.
